The .22 Winchester Magnum (also known as .22 Magnum/Mag, .22 Win Mag and .22 WMR) is a rimfire cartridge designed by Winchester in 1959. It is commonly used for small-game hunting such as squirrels, and rabbits, as well as close-range varmint hunting.
